Apes & Androids - Nights of the Week
This song reminds me of those nights when you’ve just finished taking a really steamy hot shower and you’re in your bathrobe and fuzzy slippers that are kinda wearing thin - should probably go to Tarjay and get another pair - and you just want to kick back in your recliner and watch reruns of Whale Wars on the Discovery Channel, but then your friend calls you and is like DUDE I JUST GOT A 10% COUPON TO GO TO THE CURRY RESTAURANT WE’VE ALWAYS WANTED TO GO TO and you’re like, this had better be some damn good curry. And then you spend the whole night waiting to meet a transgendered beat poet offering free palm readings or for something else really cool to happen so you can justify the $5.60 you spent on cab fare and the fact that you have to leave Whale Wars on your Tivo Un-Tivo’ed AGAIN just so you and your bro could go get curry. Sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn’t, but then you drop something on your toe and say “ow ow, ow ow, ow ow OW ow, ow ow, ow ow ow ow…”
Note: that has never happened to me
